The Best of the West vs the Best of the East

The 56th Annual NBA All-Star game kicked off tonight in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center, the fans were roaring and the all-stars ready to ball.
Minnesota Timberwolve PF Kevin Garnett who is avging 12.6 Rebounds a game scored the first points for West & of the game on a layup.

Heat star Dwayne Wade put the first points on the board for the East in hopes of keeping the game close, at the first commercial break the West had a 14-11 lead and the action was just heating up after
Laker's Kobe Bryant Slammed a monster dunk down & Heat Star Dwayne Wade answered back by connecting on the All-opp and giving the fans something to cheer about.

After a bundle of slam dunks and exciting tricks the first quarter came to a close with a 39-31 lead by the West, at the end of the Quarter Sun's star Amarie Stoudemire led the West with 9 Points & 4 Rebounds while Wade led the East with 6 Points heading into the second quarter.

In the early first quarter before the incoming Commercial Heat C Shaquile O Neal missed a dunk but got it back and slammed it down before they cut to a commercial break. at the 5:33 mark the East took a time out to try and figure out away to stop the West who had a convincing 63-46 lead.
after a phenomenal dunk by Kobe Bryant Denver's Carmelo Anthony answered back with one as well.
Miami's D-Wade went for a Dunk but 10 time All-Star PF Kevin Garnett blocked the crap out of the ball sending the East a message as the West had now developed a 20 point lead 70-50 with 2:43 left to play.
Halftime arrived and the West had a dominating lead 79-59, Lakers SG Kobe Bryant led the West with 17 Points at half while Lebron James of the Cavs led the East with 16 Points.

To open the second half Laker's Kobe Bryant was fouled and sent to the Free Throw line, he made both of his free throws to start the West off strong, Magic's young star PF Dwight Howard answered rebounding the ball then slamming it down.

Shaun Marion & Dwayne Wade answered each other with huge dunks but the West still had a 95-69 lead with a little of 7:30 to go in the 3rd Quarter,
The West reach the 101 point mark after Kobe Bryant assisted a Slam Dunk Ally Opp to Amarie Stoudemire, at the end of the third quarter the West had a huge lead 119-88 and the Suns Amarie Stoudemire is making a strong case for All-Star MVP with 23 Points and 6 Rebounds.


Spurs PG Tony Parker said that the West has no plan to stop attacking the basket despite the huge lead and the West came out strong after that went Kevin Garnett hit a long two.

The East reached the 100 Point mark after Dwayne Wade dunked it but the West was still up 127-100, The West set a All-Star record for a Assists while Kobe Bryant slammed it down trying to make his case for MVP.
With 4:21 left to play the West had a commanding lead 140-117 and fans were awaiting to see if they would go over 150 and with 1:00 remaining Amarie Stoudamire slammed down the all-oop to put the West at 151 Points.
The West closed the game out with a killer dunk by Kobe Bryant and the West went home with a 153-132 Win coming just 2 Points shy of tying and 3 Points shy of breaking the all-star game for Points by a single team.
As soon as the game ended NBA Commissioner David Stern came on and announced that Los Angeles Lakers SG Kobe Bryant was named the 2007 NBA All-Star Game MVP his second of his career, Bryant finished with 31 Points, 5 Rebounds & 6 Assists shooting 13-24 on the night, Bryant said "he hopes that the All-Start game will come back to Vegas"

In a close race Suns star Amarie Stoudemire finished with 29 Points and 9 Rebounds, Shaun Marion of the Suns finished with 18 Points & 8 Rebounds.
Cavs star LeBron James led the East with 28 Points, 6 Rebounds & 6 Assists, Magic PF Dwight Howard dominated with 20 Points & 12 Rebounds, Raptors PF Chris Bosh finished with 11 Points & 7 Rebounds.
