This is the Highschool I go to so the Sports I cover their will be put in this section, Here is a report on some of the Varsity Football games they had during the season

(Escondido Cougars @ Valley Center Jaguars)

(Pregame) Tempature: Cold in the 60's
Jaguars looking ok in pregame
20 Minutes till Kickoff: Jags looking Sharper now
Escondido Won the Coin toss and elected to receive
(1st Qtr) On the games opening drive Escondido drove down and converted on a 3-7, after a big run on another 3rd down the Jags forced a fumble but Escondido recovered, Escondido would go for it on 4th and 25 but the pass was knocked loose by a Jaguar defender.
Jags RB Jason Klingerman started the Jags off with a 19 Yard Run but the Jags ended up punting on 4-3.
Great Defense by VC however forced Escondido to punt, RB Jason Klingerman of the Jags opened the game up after breaking off on a 35+ Yard TD Run (7-0 VC)

End of First Quarter
(2nd Qtr) 7-0 Valley Center The Jags couldnt have started the second quarter off any better as DB James Johnson returned an Interception for a Touchdown (14-0 VC)
The Jags Defense came up with a huge stop on 4th & 5 but Escondido returned the favor on D.
The Cougars on Offense finaly got on the Bored afterd a 3 Yard TD Run (14-7 VC)
Escondido got back in the game after a Jason Klingerman Fumble, the game was tied up at 14-14 after a 32 Yard TD Pass by Escondido (14-14 Tie)
Jags QB Tyler Bernard was Sacked on 3rd & 9 which forced VC to punt on thier own 16 yard line resulting in great Field Postion for Escondido.
Cougar RB Nole Phillips picked up a huge first down on 4th & 1, this led to a Escondido TD Pass to put Esco up heading into the half
(Halftime) 21-14 Escondido
Jags need to start Strong in Second half & get the momentum going for them

(3rd/4th Qtr) The Jaguars responded Strong in the third quarter when RB Jason Klingerman ran in his Second TD of the game to tie it up at 21-21.
A Tough and relient Jaguar Defense stepped up and stopped the Cougar Offense.
The Jaguars got near the Goalline and handed off to Sophmore running back Justin Laurence who got over the Goalline which is something he has done many times already this year.
Then Valley Center made the decision to go for Two instead of an Extra Point Holder/Quarterback Casey Woods faked the Field Goal rolled out & threw a pass intended for RB Justin Laurence but it well short. (27-21 VC)
Escondido answered back with another TD Pass and took a 28-27 lead, Valley Center drove down field led by QB Tyler Bernard who found WR's James Lowder & James Johnson through out the drive and through most of the game, In the Redzone the Jaguars once again handed off to RB Justin Lawrence who ran in a 7 Yard Touchdown run his 2nd of the game, his 2nd two TD game this season.The Jags converted on the 2 Point Conversion but a penaltie brought it back & the score was 33-28 Valley Center.
Escondido again Scored another Touchdown and converted on a 2 Point Conversion try going up 36-33 with under two minutes left to play.
Jaguars QB Tyler Bernard drove VC down field and on 3rd & 4 threw a pass to WR James Johnson who had been having a Great Game but he dropped it, Bernard threw it up on 4th & 4 to a VC Widereceivier but Escondido's Defense did not allow the completion and with 30 Seconds left the Cougars nealed down for the Win.

(Valley Center Jaguars @ Orange Glenn Patriots)

(Pregame)
Cold and a bit chilly Valley Center will take on their biggest Rival in Orange Glenn, both teams are looking for a Win to try and make the Playoffs this year and contuie their season which is adding even more suspense and fuel to this rivalry.

(1st Quarter) Orange Glenn won the toss but choose to defer till the second half, Valley Center on their first possesion drove deep down into the Redzone after some great running by tailback Justin Kilingerman but VC was only able to come away with a 22 yard Field Goal (3-0 VC)
The Jaguars Defense came up big when DB James Johnson Intercepted a pass but the Jags couldnt capitalize.

(2nd Quarter) 3-0 VC The Jaguars got new set of downs after a tough run by Running Back Justin Lawrence, Lawrence followed with a Touchdown run but it was nolified by a Holding Penaltie,
VC followed by turning the ball over in the Redzone, The Jaguars Defense came up with a big Defensive stop on 3rd & 12 giving the ball back to the offense.
The Jaguars Offense once again got in the Redzone thanks to Tough running by Justin Klingerman, with 4:16 to play on 3rd and 3 Runningback Justin Lawrence was stuffed but the Jags still scored on a Field Goal (6-0 VC)
The Jaguars again on offense, after a quick run to the right by back Andy Vosburgh, Jags QB Casey Woods threw a solid pass to TE Beau Rightler to bring the Jags closer to the Endzone, with 13.1 Seconds left in the half Jags QB Casey Woods tossed up a fade pass in the deep rigth corner of the endzone which WR James Lowder caught for a Jaguars Touchdown to rap up a half of Solid Football.

(Halftime) 12-0 Valley Center
Defense Defense Defense! is what this game has been about, Great Defensive play by VC has got them incontroll of the game, After starting QB Tyler Bernard went down with what appeared to be a foot injury early in the game backup QB Casey Woods came in and played solid. ocompanied by a Solid Running game

(3rd Quarter) To Start the second half Orange Glenn with Great momentum drove down field only to run to a Stiffined Jaguar Defense on a Fourth down conversion attempt.
The Jaguars were at midfield after a nice pass from Woods to Lowder, on 3-5 with 5:30 to go RB Andy Vosburg picked up a key first down in the Redzone, a few plays later Vosburg ran the Jaguars into the Endzone for another Jaguars TD (19-0 VC)
With 2:58 left in the 3rd the Jags once again had possesion of the ball, to keep their drive alive the Jaguars converted on 4-1

(4th Quarter) 19-0 VC On 3-2 RB Justin Lawrence got anough for a first Running hard and Tough, Jags RB Andy Vosburg followed that up breaking off a 40+ Yard Touchdown run to put Valley Center up (26-0)
The Patriots werent going to allow a Shut Out as they broke off a 60+ Yard TD run with 10:32 left to play (26-7 VC)
Jaguars QB Casey Woods rolled out and threw an Interception with 7:46 giving OG life.
The Jaguar Defense came up Huge when DB James Johnson picked off a pass his 2nd of the game and returned it for a Touchdown (33-7 VC)
The Jaguars sealed the game with a late Interception Return for a Touchdown by D-Linemen Burt Lund.
The Jaguars came away with a Great Win and are on their way to the Playoffs! (Final) 40-7 Valley Center Jaguars

My Week 1 AFL Power Rankings

1. Dallas Desperados: after a 13-3 regular season last year, Dallas had expected to be in Arena Bowl XX but well short in a conference loss to Orlando.
This year Dallas looks even better and to me they look to be the Colts of the AFL

2. Chicago Rush: after a tough regular season the Rush barely made the playoffs with a 7-9 record but in the Playoffs they came alive and proved to be the leagues best team Defeating Nashville, San Jose & Colorado in the post season then going on to beat the heavily favored Orlando Predators in Arena Bowl XX.
The Rush bring basicley the same team back and I see no reason why they wont be back in the post season in 07.

3. Orlando Predators: The Predators had a Great season last year and had one of the AFL's top Defenses that helped carry them to the Arenabow but Orlando would fall short loosing to the Rush in Arenabowl XX 69-61.
Orlando sense then has made what many consider the biggest move in the offseason and that was signing standout former Storm QB Shane Stafford who Orlando expects to lead them to Arenabowl 21, Orlando lost QB Joe Hamilton and WR Jerrian James in the offseason but with Stafford and OS Jimmy Fryzel the Preds should be just fine.

4. San Jose: In the West San Jose after a tough loss in the post season last year returns Arena Standout QB Mark Grieb, WR James Roe & Offensive Rookie of the year last season WR Ben Nelson. With a high powered Offense and alot of talent on Defense expect San Jose to contend for an Arena Bowl title early and often.

5. Geogia Force: The Force come into the 2007 Season with quite possibly the AFL's best Receiving core in Derek Lee, Chris Jackson, and Troy Bergeron. Loosing QB Matt Nagy dosent help there case but the Force have high expectations on QB Chris Greisen who will look to charge the Force's powered offense.

6. Colorado Crush: The Crush had a very good season last year but fell short however in the proccess All-Arena WR Damian Harrell broke the league TD reception record be scoring 61 TDs last year. Throwing him the ball will be QB John Dutton who is expected to have another solid season and bring Owner John Elway another Arena Bowl Championship.

7. Austin Wranglers: With a bundle of talent on the team it looks to be QB Adrian Mcpherson the former FSU stand out that will lead the Wrangler Offense that is filled with stars like young WR's Derrick Lewis, Nickerson and Robinson.
Mcpherson at QB can also make plays with his legs and that helped him Win AFL Rookie of the year in 2004.
On Defense look for Damon Mason to be the impact maker on opposing offenses.

8. Philadelphia Soul: Led by one of the best QBs to play the Arena Game in QB Tony Graziani the Soul look to rebound after a tough loss in the playoffs last year. The Soul can contend with any team and have a solid defense so expect them to be back in the race in 07.

9. Utah Blaze: The Blaze an expansion team last year had a solid expansion year (7-9) and upgraded there receving core with the addtion of WR Aaron Boone and held on to Star WR Siaha Burley who led the league in receiving yards last year with (1934).
Passing them the ball will be QB Joe Germaine who had a solid 41-5 TD-INT Ratio last season.
Expect Utah led by AFL Great coach Danny White to be back in the playoffs in 07.

10. New Orleans VooDoo: after loosing there entire season last year due to Hurricane Katrina the VooDoo and there fans are more excited then ever fot the Doo's return selling more then 12'000 Season Tickets.
On the field for the Voodoo will be AFL Great QB Andy Kelly who is expected to lead the Doo back to the Playoffs and possibly Arena Bowl 21 which is being played in New Orleans.

11. New York Dragons: The Dragons will likely not have QB Aaron Garcia to start the season but with talented WR's like Mike Horacek, Kevin Swayne and Will Holder the Dragons will possibly call on Rookie QB and former NFL player Rohan Davey to carry them back to the post season.

12. Nashville Kats: The Kats made the playoffs last year but may or may not be the same team.
QB Clint Stoerner will have to carry the load and find a some help in the receiving game if he wants to take Nashville back to the post season.

13. Columbus Destroyers: With the Addtions of QB Matt Nagy and WR Tony Locke if they can stay healthy expect to see Columbus in the Playoff race all season long.

14. Arizona Rattlers: With QB Sherdrick Bonner leading the way dont count the ratz out especialy when he has got Ironman of the year Randy Gatewood to throw the ball to.

15. Tampabay Storm: With the loss of Star QB Shane Stafford to rival Orlando Tampabay headcoach Tim Marcum has put the load on the shoulders of vet QB John Kaleo who will look to try and find a Go to Go Receivier wether it be Shaw or Toliver.

16. Grandrapids Rampage: With the addtion of former NFL first round pick WR Troy Edwards the fans will have something to be excited about but alot of pressure will be on Grandrapids to find a Solid starter at QB wether it be Chad Salisbury or Matt Sauk.

17. Los Angeles Avengers: The Avengers coming off a tough and down season last year look to rebound this season, leading the way will be QB Sunny Cumbie and WR Kevin Ingram but it wont be as Los Angeles open vs San Jose then travels to Orlando.

18. Las Vegas Gladiators: The Glads will be led by Rookie QB Shaun King in a new arena so any thing is possible, mabey they will struggle or be the surpise of the league we will have to wait and see.

19. Kansas City Brigade: Kansas City the AFL's second expansion team last year will be led by AFL vet Raymond Phiyaw, Expect the Brigade to improve and give a Great fan base something to rave about.

Ready for some Arena Football? Here's my preview of the up and coming Arena season starting in March

Last years season ended with a true underdog the Chicago Rush Winning their first title by Defeating the at the time Dominating Orlando Predators 69-61 in Arenabowl XX located in Las Vegas. The Rush started their regular season off 3-5 and finished their regular season 7-9 just making the Playoffs with a Wildcard and then came alive in the Playoffs defeating the Nashville Kats 55-47 in the Wild Card round followed by the a Win over the Colorado Crush 63-46 and taking down the San Jose Sabercats 59-56 in the Conference Championship game.

So what can we expect from the 2007 Season?

Lets take a look at each Division

American Conference

Western Division

Arizona Rattlers- The Rattlers coming off a 8-8 Season in which they made the postseason and started off well Defeating the expansion Utah Blaze 57-34 but the following week would see Arizona loose 62-48 in a Divisional matchup with Rival San Jose.

Arizona after a long off season break are ready to make another run at the postseason led by vetran QB Sherdrick Bonner who passes for nearly four thousand yards (3991) last year and threw (83) Touchdowns to only (16) Interceptions, Bonner in possibly his last AFL season would love to go out with a bang and lead the Rattlers to another Arenabowl title but in order for that to happen Rattlers Ironman WR/DB Randy Gatewood will have to have another solid year as he did last year (89 Recs, 1175 Yds, 35 TDs, 64 Tckls, 3 Ints).
Arizona must find and get more production from their receivers outside of Gatewood and with the loss of WR Damien Groce (59 Recs, 857 Yds, 21 TDs last year) it wont be easy so the burden is laid up WRs Cosmo DeMatteo (54-654-5) and Curtis Fagan to help carry Arizona's Passing Offense.
The AFL is not big on its rushing numbers but look for the Rattlers to hand the ball off to FB Bo Kelly a bit more this season.
Anchoring the Line is Guard Vince Amy, Jerry Sharp and TE/T Wendall Gaines who should have a big part of Arizona's Offense as well.

On Defense with the new Substitution rule its hard to say who will start but the projection is that Joseph Todd (44 Tcks, 2 Ints) and Randy Gatewood will achor the secondary while Curtis Fagan and Bo Kelly take care of the Linebacker postions.

Returning Sack Leader Wendall Gaines (5.5 Sacks last year) is expected to anchor the Dline.

On Special Teams look for K Gary Kral to rebound from a tough season last year (10-29 Fgms, 34.5% Fgp).

Predicted Record: 8-8
Game to watch: June 16th @ San Jose

Las Vegas Gladiators- The Glads coming off a disappointing 5-11 Season made a big move in the Offseason by Signing former NFL QB Shaun King and retaining AFL Vet WR/DB Joe Douglass.
While Shaun King will be a Rookie in AFL terms he is expected to be the guy to take the Glads back to the post season but if he should get hurt or just not pan out the Glads will turn back to QB Jason Fife who threw for (2221) Yards & 41 TDs in his first year of Arena play last year that is if Fife does not go to another league.

FB Charles Stackhouse will carry the load on the ground likely for the Glads and is expected to have another good season this year.

The Glads lost a big part of their Receiving corps in Marcus Nash who a few years ago set an Arena league record by catching (154) passes in a season.

The Glads kind of got snubbed this off season when they signed former NFL WR Peter Warrick but he them decided to go back to the NFL so with out him & Nash the Glads decided to sign AFL Veteran WR Thabiti Davis who along with Joe Douglass (68 Recs, 766 Yards, 15 TDs last year) are expected to step up big time this year for Las Vegas.

The Glads Defense is very young so we will have to find out who steps up and makes a name for themselves.
Young players like DS Vontez Duff, OL/DL Adrian Gozalez and many others will try and bring respect back to the Gladiators Defense.

On Special Teams at the time it looks like 27 year old Steve Azar will be kicking for the Glads but dont be surprised if they sign another Kicker before the start of the season to keep competition going.

expect if the Glads cant find a Kickreturner then for Joe Douglass to possibly return kicks for the Glads.

Predicted Record: 7-9
Game to Watch: May 6th Vs Avengers

Los Angeles Avengers- The Avengers had a disappointing season last year going 5-11 but finished strong on a 2 game Winning Streak defeating Nashville and Las Vegas.

Last year to begin the Season the Avengers had a huge QB Controversy but that was ended soon enough when Rookie QB Sonny Cumbie took the reigns and had a Solid Rookie season passing for (3241) Yards (59) TDs to just (10) Ints with a (105.2) QB Rating.

The ground game will be led by FB Lonnie Ford who rushed for (168) Yards & (10) TDs on (44) Carries.

The Receiving Crop for the Avengers lost a lot when OS Tony Locke was lost to Free Agency and WR/LB Greg Hopkins retried.
Locke & Hopkins put up Great production last year combining for (150 Recs, 1979 Yards & 31 TDs).
So the Avengers will turn to last years leading Receivier and former Iron man award winner Kevin Ingram who put up great numbers last year (111 Recs, 1354 Yards & 32 TDs).
In Addition to Ingram the Avengers have Antoine Burns, Rob Turner and they signed a number of Rookies most notably former NFL WR Chris Cole who is expected to compete for a starting WR spot.

Also TE/DL Silas Demary can play TE if the Avengers choose to make that a big part of their offense.

On the Offensive/Defensive line the Avengers have alot of talent in Sean McNamara, Reggie Rhodes, Greg Krause from Orlando last year and former NFL player Marcus Parker.
Lets not forget the Sack Master Silas Demary who set an AFL single Season record with (12.5) Sacks.

In the Linebacker Core the Avengers have a lot of young players such as Rookies Michael Craven, Jon Apgar but they will have to compete with vets Josh Jeffries and Lonnie Ford.

In the Secandary the Avengers will most likely be led by DS Damen Wheelers who led the team with (70) Tackels and recorded (3) Interceptions last year.
If WR Kevin Ingram plays a more normal Iron man Role and plays Cornerback again he may put out another 5 Interceptions as he did last year.

As well as Wheeler & possibly Ingram the Avengers have Rookies James Bethea and NFL vet Tod McBride to play Defensive Specialist or Cornerback.

On Special Teams the Avengers have Kicker of the year Remy Hamilton returning Hamilton made (75%) percent of his Field Goals last year and put up an incredible (173) Points.

Returning Kicks for the Avengers will likely be Antoine Burns who returned two kicks for TDs last year.

Prediction: 10-6
Game to Watch: March 4th Vs San Jose

Utah Blaze- The Blaze a expansion team last year came into the league with high hopes and high expectations for there first year in the Arena Football League and in a big way they snuk up on many teams the Blaze started there season on the right foot and got the fans excited with a Season Home opening Win in there first ever Arena Game over San Jose 48-35 and finished with a 7-9 Record and earned a playoff spot. In the Wildcard Playoffs Utah lost 57-34 to Arizona but with key Wins over team's like San Jose (48-35), Los Angeles (68-66), Nashville (63-34), Colorado (52-49) & Kansas City (55-54) the Blaze should have alot of momentum going into there Second year of Arena League play.

Utah lost Vetran QB Andy Kelly who after leaving New Orleans due to weather reasons returns to the Voodoo, Kelly while with Utah played well (1402 Yards, 27 TDs, 4 Ints) and his leadership and knowledge will be missed but now the Blaze will likely turn to Quarterback Joe Germaine who strugged at times last year but showed signs of promise as well (2330 Yards passing, 41-5 TDs-INT Ratio). If Germaine should get hurt or dissapoints the coaches, then the Blaze will have to further progress QB's Travis Cole, Jason Gesser and Tali Ena one of who or possibly two will likely be cut before the season starts.

Running the ball for Utah will likely be FB Kevin Clemens who was productive on scoring in the Enzone with (10) TDs but had only 67 yards on 42 Carries look for him to compete to keep his job but likely keep starting at either Fullback or Linebacker.
The Blaze have alot of talent at the Receiving game with the return of Standout Receivier Siaha Burley who put up tremendus numbers last year (136 Recs, 1934 Yards, 44 TDs) and will look to have another Great year as the Go to Go wide out.
As if that werent anough Utah returns WR Orshawonte Bryant (90 Recs, 1039 Yards, 11 TDs) who had a Solid season last year.

Fighting for the third Wide out spot will be WR's Tom Pace (72 Recs, 803 Yards, 17 TDs last year), WR Justin Skaggs (52 Recs, 655 Yards, 13 TDs last year) and the Blaze's biggest offseason addtion is 2nd year man WR/DB Aaron Boone who spent last year his Rookie year with the Kansas City Brigade another expansion team, their Boone had caught (66 Recs)for (748) Yards and (19) TDs as Boone secured himself a force in his Rookie season and now brings his talents to Utah but he will have alot of competion if he wants to start.

On the Offensive & Defensive lines the Blaze have alot of talent as well, expected to start at TE/DE is John Culp, All Ironman DT /C Hans Olsen tied Utah for the lead in Sacks with (2)
DT/G Ernest Grant & DE Lewis Powell will compete on the line and should help Utah rebound in the Sack department.

Likely starting in the Linebacker spots will be WR/LB Tom Pace () and FB/LB Kevin Clemens who tied for the team lead in Sacks with (2) also look for WR/LB Justin Skaggs to possibly become more of a full time Linebacker if he is not in the starting line up at WR, Skaggs was third in tackels for Utah last year with (34) Tackels and (3) Forced Fumbles.
In the Secandary pending on how much the new rules effect the game will determine how much WR/DB Orshawonte Bryant plays Defensive back but if they Blaze can it would be wise to keep Bryant in an Ironman role as he has been like last year, Bryant was second in the team in Tackels (51) and second on the team in Interceptions with (2).

Not sure if Secandary man Kelvin Hunter will be back, Hunter led the Blaze in Tackels (58) and Interceptions (4) last year but if he is not back then Young DS Kevin Moffett and vet Clarence Lawson will battle for a starting role in the secandary.

If Kicker Steve Videtich returns he will likely start but will have to improve after a rough season last year (9 of 22 field goals made, %40.9 percent) if Videtich dosent return then the Blaze will likely have open competion to a pair of Free Agent kickers untill the start of the season.

Returning kicks for Utah will again likely be WR's Siaha Burley or Tom Pace.

Predicted Record: 9-7
Game to Watch: Week 17 @ Los Angeles

San Jose Sabercats- San Jose has been around a while and had lots of success and last year was no different as the Saber cats finished with a 10-6 record and won the West Division, San Jose won there first playoff game 62-48 over Arizona but lost the next week to what would become the future Arena bowl Champions Chicago Rush 59-56.

The cats are led by a high powered offense that is always a threat to score, QB Mark Grieb a true AFL veteran had a phenomenal season last year completing 395 of his 604 pass attempts including (4834) Yards, (83) TD's to (10) Ints and a (117.4) QB Rating.
To help Grieb out even more he has a strong Running game to lean on with FB's Phil Glover & Brian Johnson who may just be the best one two running punch in the Arena League, Glover (55 Att, 161 Yards, 15 TDs), Johnson (48 Att, 116 Yards, 12 TDs) combinded for 27 Rushing TDs last year.

Despite how impressive that is it is San Joses's Receiving game that was even bigger last year with Vet WR James Roe (113 Recs, 1321 Yards, 31 TDs) and Rookie sensation Offensive Specialist Ben Nelson (94 Recs, 1398 Yards, 26 TD's) Nelson for his out standing season was named AFL Rookie of the year.
Along with Roe & Nelson look for WR's Charles Pauley & Jason Gathers to become more involved in San Jose's air attack.

On the Offensive and Defensive lines are likely to be C Dan Loney, OL Patrick Afif and OL Todd Williams of Florida State, also another potential linemen is OL/DL William Obeng who is huge at (6-7) (335).
Likely on the D-line is DL Alan Harper, NG George Williams and DL Ronald Jones although this may not be the exact lineup because I see DL Joe Jacobs his led the Cats with (4) Sacks last year getting some time in as well, the new Substitution rule should make it very interesting for Offensive and Defensive lines.

In the Line backing core likely to start will be FB/LB Phil Glover (17 Tackles, 3 Sacks, 1 FF),on the other side WR/LB James Roe (19 Tackles, 2 FF's, 1 Int) despite not having played at linebacker as much both Glover & Roe will have a much bigger part in the Cat's Defense.

In the Secondary DB's Omar Smith (39 Tackles, 3 Interceptions, 2 Defensive TD's) & Marquis Floyd(41 Tackels, 3 Interceptions, the star of San Jose's Defense is Defensive Specialist Clevan Thomas who led the Cats in Tackels with (79) & Interceptions (7). expect Thomas to have another outstanding year and make a run for Defensive player of the year.

On the Special Teams unit K Brian Schmitz (7-17 Fgm, 41.2% Fgp, 99-117 Xpm) will look to become a bit better and improve upon a rough year last year.
Returning kicks for the Cats will likely be WR Charles Pauley (32 KRs, 617 Yards, 1 TD).

Now that the NFL Season is over here's a look at whats coming up this Season in Sports

2/20/07

Yes we will miss the NFL but its time to take a look at the up & coming sports seasons and the sports currently in progress

Ncaa Mens Backetball: Its almost time for Match Madness folks and in College Basketball that is the biggest time of the year with every Ncaa team looking to try and get into the Ncaa Turmanment.
Currently at number #1 on the AP Poll are the Wisconsin Badgers (26-2) while the ESPN/USA today has the Ohio State Buckeyes (24-3) at number one.
The question of who should be number one will be answered this Sunday February 25th when Wisconsin travels to take on Ohio State.

The Top #25 Teams right now are all fighting to improve there ranking and were they get into the Ncaa Turney,

Look for #3 Florida (Defending National Champs), #4 UCLA & #5 Kansas to try and Win out to see if they can claim the number one spot in Basketball but the Winner of the Ohio State/Wisconsin game will have the edge over the rest of the pac.

Chicago Bears Vs Indianapolis Colts from Miami Florida

Super bowl 41 has arrived and its time for the biggest game in Pro Football to be played on Sunday February 4th 2007 were we will see what should be a great match up between the Colts and Bears.
The Bears come into the game with one of the most talented defense's in the NFL that is stacked with play makers such as LB's Brian Urlacher & Lance Briggs , CB's Charles Tillman, Ricky Manning & Nathan Vasher. Urlacher & Briggs combined for 271 Tackels, leading Chicago in Sacks is rookie Defensive End Mark Anderson with 12, Anderson was a pleasent surprise in his rookie season for Chicago.
Bears Rookie Corner/Kickreturner Devin Hester showed why he has been the most electrifying kickreturner sense Dante Hall, Hester set a new NFL Record returning 6 kicks for Touchdowns this season.

Chicago's Defense led the Bears to a 13-3 regular season record including most recently a 39-14 shellacking of New Orleans in the NFC Championship game.

On Offense the Bears strong point would be the running game led by a duo of tailbacks RB Thomas Jones (1210 yds, 4.1 Avg, 6 TDs, 296 Att) & young Runner Cedric Benson (647 yds. 4.1 Avg, 6 TDs, 157 Att)

In order for the Bears to win that Running game may have to carry the load on offense in lesson young Quarterback Rex Grossman can get it together and prove he can become a efficient and consistent starter, Grossman finished his regular season with over 3000+ passing yards and a 23 to 20 Touchdown to Interception ratio but stepped us his play a bit in the post season throwing for 282 yards vs Seattle and against New Orleans throwing for 144 yards, 1 TD and no Interceptions.
Although Grossman was not asked to do alot vs New Orleans because the Bears leaned on there strong Running duo of Jones & Benson who Rushed for a combined 183 yards & 3 TDs.

For the Bears at wideout the go to go guy has been on and off all season but WR Bernard Berrian stepped up in the Postseason posting a 19.0 avg per catch on 10 receptions along with 190 yards and 2 touchdowns. 11 year Vet WR Muhsin Muhammad will also look to take in some passes as he has been the leader of the group.

Now for the Colts who finished there regular season 12-4 and just came off a 38-34 Playoff Victory over the New England Patriots were Quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 349 yards and a TD.
The Colts are led by All-Pro Quarterback Peyton Manning who threw for a NFL record 49 TD passes last year, while Manning may not have done that again he did something more important and that is leading his team to there first Super bowl appearance sense the great Jonny Unitas.

Manning has alot of talent around him on offense incuding Rookie sensation tailback Joseph Addai who took over for Edgerin James and rushed for 1081 yards a 4.8 avg and 7 TDs, accompanying him was vet RB Dominic Rhodes who rushed for over 600+ yards and 5 TDs.
The two as well make a good duo rushing on the ground and it just makes the playaction for the Colts even more dangerous so expect to see that some.

As far as the Receiving core the Colts have one of the top duos in the league with veterans Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne who both hauled in over 85+ passes and 1300+ Receiving yards, Harrison edged Wayne out in Touchdown receptions 12 to 9 but both are always a threat to score on the field.
Manning loves to use TE's Dallas Clark & Ben Utecht who both hauled in 30 or more receptions.

The Colts had Arguabley the worst Defense in the Regular season but that same Defense stepped up big time when it came to the playoffs shutting down solid Offense's like Baltimore and Kansas City.
Linebackers Cato June led the Colts in tackels with 142 tackles, Defensive end Robert Mathis led the Colts Defensive line with 9.5 Sacks but dont forget Fast defensive end Dwight Freeney who despite having a down year is still a terror on the line.
Corner's Jason David and Nick Harper led lndy with 3 Interceptions in the secandary but while the stats may not show it the Colts have a much more talented defense then they showed during the regular season.

So to wrap this up I feel this will be one of the better Super bowl Match ups in along time that pits a Stout Defense vs a Stout Offense and we will once again see what proves to be more effective and Wins the Championships a Great Offense or Great Defense?

My Prediction: Bears defeat Colts 24-21

The Best of the West vs the Best of the East

The 56th Annual NBA All-Star game kicked off tonight in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center, the fans were roaring and the all-stars ready to ball.
Minnesota Timberwolve PF Kevin Garnett who is avging 12.6 Rebounds a game scored the first points for West & of the game on a layup.

Heat star Dwayne Wade put the first points on the board for the East in hopes of keeping the game close, at the first commercial break the West had a 14-11 lead and the action was just heating up after
Laker's Kobe Bryant Slammed a monster dunk down & Heat Star Dwayne Wade answered back by connecting on the All-opp and giving the fans something to cheer about.

After a bundle of slam dunks and exciting tricks the first quarter came to a close with a 39-31 lead by the West, at the end of the Quarter Sun's star Amarie Stoudemire led the West with 9 Points & 4 Rebounds while Wade led the East with 6 Points heading into the second quarter.

In the early first quarter before the incoming Commercial Heat C Shaquile O Neal missed a dunk but got it back and slammed it down before they cut to a commercial break. at the 5:33 mark the East took a time out to try and figure out away to stop the West who had a convincing 63-46 lead.
after a phenomenal dunk by Kobe Bryant Denver's Carmelo Anthony answered back with one as well.
Miami's D-Wade went for a Dunk but 10 time All-Star PF Kevin Garnett blocked the crap out of the ball sending the East a message as the West had now developed a 20 point lead 70-50 with 2:43 left to play.
Halftime arrived and the West had a dominating lead 79-59, Lakers SG Kobe Bryant led the West with 17 Points at half while Lebron James of the Cavs led the East with 16 Points.

To open the second half Laker's Kobe Bryant was fouled and sent to the Free Throw line, he made both of his free throws to start the West off strong, Magic's young star PF Dwight Howard answered rebounding the ball then slamming it down.

Shaun Marion & Dwayne Wade answered each other with huge dunks but the West still had a 95-69 lead with a little of 7:30 to go in the 3rd Quarter,
The West reach the 101 point mark after Kobe Bryant assisted a Slam Dunk Ally Opp to Amarie Stoudemire, at the end of the third quarter the West had a huge lead 119-88 and the Suns Amarie Stoudemire is making a strong case for All-Star MVP with 23 Points and 6 Rebounds.

Spurs PG Tony Parker said that the West has no plan to stop attacking the basket despite the huge lead and the West came out strong after that went Kevin Garnett hit a long two.

The East reached the 100 Point mark after Dwayne Wade dunked it but the West was still up 127-100, The West set a All-Star record for a Assists while Kobe Bryant slammed it down trying to make his case for MVP.
With 4:21 left to play the West had a commanding lead 140-117 and fans were awaiting to see if they would go over 150 and with 1:00 remaining Amarie Stoudamire slammed down the all-oop to put the West at 151 Points.
The West closed the game out with a killer dunk by Kobe Bryant and the West went home with a 153-132 Win coming just 2 Points shy of tying and 3 Points shy of breaking the all-star game for Points by a single team.
As soon as the game ended NBA Commissioner David Stern came on and announced that Los Angeles Lakers SG Kobe Bryant was named the 2007 NBA All-Star Game MVP his second of his career, Bryant finished with 31 Points, 5 Rebounds & 6 Assists shooting 13-24 on the night, Bryant said "he hopes that the All-Start game will come back to Vegas"

In a close race Suns star Amarie Stoudemire finished with 29 Points and 9 Rebounds, Shaun Marion of the Suns finished with 18 Points & 8 Rebounds.
Cavs star LeBron James led the East with 28 Points, 6 Rebounds & 6 Assists, Magic PF Dwight Howard dominated with 20 Points & 12 Rebounds, Raptors PF Chris Bosh finished with 11 Points & 7 Rebounds.

Who is going to Hawai next year? well I have the answer and my view of it, I will go ahead and Start with the AFC and NFC Quarterbacks, just a note I did not include Offensive Linemen

1. Colts Peyton Manning (AFC) Manning turning in yet another great season leading his Indianapolis Colts to a 9-0 start and another Divison title was a lock for his 7th Probowl Selection.

2. Patriots Tom Brady (AFC) Brady has throw for over 3000+ Yards and 22 TDs and is leading his Patriots back to the Post Season

3. Chargers Philip Rivers (AFC) Rivers has throw for 2976 yards, 18 TDs and a 91.5 Rating, mabey most importantly he has helped lead the Chargers to their 8th straight Win and the best Record in the AFC

1. Saints Drew Brees (NFC) leads the NFL with 4240 Passing yards and is leading the Saints back to the post season, Brees is a Probowl lock for sure

2. Rams Mark Bulger (NFC) another Great Statistical season for Bulger has gotten him back to Hawai

3. Cowboys Tony Romo (NFC) Despite only starting 8 Games Romo due to popular vote and a Solid Thanksgiving game has gotten to the Probowl

(Running Backs)

1. Chargers Ladainian Tomlinson (AFC) 28 Rushing TDs and a 5.2 Avg on the ground , Tomlinson is the best back in the NFL at this time and goes to Hawai and will likely Win the NFL MVP to go along with it, the question is how many TDs will he finish with? hey mabey some one is the Probowlcan tackel him

2. Chiefs Larry Johnson (AFC) LJ probley the second best RB in the NFL gets a well deserved Probowl spot

3. Steelers Willie Parker (AFC) Parker turning in a Great late season effort made his first Probowl

4. Chargers FB Lorenzo Neal (AFC) Neal has been a huge part of LT's succsess blocking extremely well and Running in Shortyardge situations for the Chargers, Neal has been Great for running backs running behind him and should be in Hawai doing it for LT thier as well

1. 49ers Frank Gore (NFC) a Truly amazing running back coming back from two major knee surgery's in college to rush for nearly 1500+ Yards and counting

2. Giants Tiki Barber (NFC) Barber leaves the NFL with a bang in Hawai

3. Rams Steven Jackson (NFC) Jackson has really become a pain for other defenses to tackel and gets in well deserved

4. Seahawks FB Mack Strong (NFC) Strong Blocking for Alexander has gotten Strong a well deserved trip to the Probowl

My Teams

Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL): I have been a Jaguar fan most of my life well ever sense I started watching football, Through the Thick and Thin I have been and will stick with my Beloved Jaguars.
Coming into the NFL in 1995 the Jaguars are still a very young team and have seen a great deal of

success including a 14-2 Season in 1999 in which we were Divison Champions. Sense then the Jags had a rough time through 2000 up intill around 2003 were new Head Coach Jack Del Rio has sense led them to the Playoffs and a Winning Record over the past two years including a 8-6 mark so far this year.

I became a Jaguar fan because they are a true underdog team and I have always like the uniforms and sense then have become a die hard Jaguar fan and will always be through the Good and the Bad.

Boston Redsox (MLB):

I recently started paying close attention to baseball and starting enjoying watching the Boston Redsox and have sense then become a big fan of the Redsox.

The Redsox Won the World Series in 2004 with a Great comeback Vs Rival New York Yankees

The Redsox came in to Major League Baseball in the early 1900s and are one of the most historic Teams in Baseball, Boston also is a part of the Oldest and most intense Rivalry in baseball between the Boston Redsox and New York Yankees.

The Redsox look to get back to the post season in 2007 led by big Bats David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez.

Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA): The Minnesota Timberwolves or known as the T-Wolves are a very young and upcoming team in the NBA. As of the past few years under new head coach Dwayne Casey the Wolves have struggled but future Hall of Fame Powerforward Kevin Garnett is trying to lead his Wolves back to the NBA Playoffs this year.

UCLA Bruins (NCAAF): In the World of College football I am a Big UCLA Bruins fan last year led by RB Maurice Jones-Drew now on the Jaguars in the NFL. The Bruins have struggled over the past few years sense the pack 10 has been has been Dominated by USC but the Bruins took a step toward changing that by defeating USC early in the year in one of College football's biggest upset.
